User Agreement

Please read this agreement carefully before accessing or using the information and services available through the theoddjob website. By accessing or using the website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below. theoddjob may modify this agreement at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting the modified agreement on the site.

General

1. The Odd Job Limited provides the theoddjob website and services so that you can post Odd  Jobs adverts and Odd Jobs Wanted adverts, apply for jobs, and interact and transact directly with other members of theoddjob. theoddjob is not a party to these transactions, and will not become involved in resolving disputes between members about transactions.

2. theoddjob does not endorse or recommend any of the jobs, business or self-employment opportunities advertised on its site and theoddjob strongly recommends that prior to entering into any agreement with any of the advertisers on the site, that you obtain your own independent legal, accounting, financial or taxation advice as appropriate. It is solely your responsibility to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all opinions, advice, services, job listings and other information provided through the site or on the Internet generally.

3. In no event will theoddjob be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or loss or damage caused to you directly or indirectly in reliance upon any information contained on or omitted from this site.

4. theoddjob has no knowledge and makes no representations or warranties about any aspect of any job listing or member of theoddjob.

5. theoddjob provides no warranty or guarantee for the accuracy of information provided by theoddjob.

6. theoddjob provides no warranty to you that the services generally available through its site will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defects in the service will be corrected. You also understand that theoddjob cannot and does not guarantee or warrant to you that files available for downloading through the site or delivered via electronic mail through the site will be free of infection or viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other code that manifest contaminating or destructive properties. You are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your particular requirements for accuracy of data input and output, and for maintaining a means external to the site for the reconstruction of any lost data.

7. Members of theoddjob are solely responsible for the content of their listings.

8. A failure by theoddjob to exercise a right under this User Agreement does not amount to a waiver of the right.

9. theoddjob owns all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the website (including text, graphics, logos, icons and sound recordings) and the software and other material underlying and forming part of the services and the website. You may not without our prior written permission, in any form or by any mean adapt, reproduce, copy, store, distribute, print, display, perform, publish or create derivative works from any part of this website.

Membership information

1. To become a registered member, you must provide a password, email address, phone number and a Username. You are entirely responsible if you do not maintain the confidentiality of your password and user name. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your user name. You may change your password or login at any time by following instructions.

2. You agree not to allow any other person to use the theoddjob website using your account and Username.

3. You agree to immediately notify theoddjob of any unauthorised use of your Username or any other breach of security known to you.

4. Each person or business may have only one membership of theoddjob.

5. Businesses requesting membership may be required to provide evidence of or proposal for business.

Posting a job

If you post a job on theoddjob you agree that:

1. All currency stated is in New Zealand dollars;

2. Your job description is accurate and complete, and includes all relevant information about terms of employment.

3. Your job listing is not inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent;

4. You will not attempt to manipulate a listing by shadow bidding, or by assuming multiple identities;

5. Each job listing must be for an actual, existing position and cannot be for jobs of a speculative nature including but not limited to pyramid schemes or business opportunites. theoddjob reserves the right to remove any advertisement that does not meet this condition.

Applying for a job

When applying for a job on theoddjob you agree that:

1. You warrant that you have the legal right to enter into and complete the transaction;

2. If your bid is successful, you must complete the job in the manner specified in the listing’s job description and in accordance with the terms agreed to;

3. It is a condition on your use of the theoddjob website that you will not either through any act or omission mislead or deceive others.

Feedback

When placing feedback on the theoddjob community or on other members you agree that you will not place feedback that:

1. Violates any New Zealand law;

2. Contains another member's actual name or address; or

2. Contains another member's contact information; or

3. Contains insults, profanity, vulgarity, hate speech, disruptive, or hostile comments, or threats of violence.

Fees

1. theoddjob charges fees for the use of the theoddjob website as a venue.

2. Fees for extra listing options are charged when jobs are listed, and are only refundable if the refund process is followed and theoddjob accepts that a refund is appropriate in the circumstances.

3. Fees are charged for placing listings or advertisements and are only refundable if the refund process is followed and theoddjob accepts that a refund is appropriate in the circumstances.

4. All fees paid by New Zealand resident members include GST and are in New Zealand dollars.
